Symbolism

  • As in the Annunciation window, Virgin Mary’s blue robe symbolizes heavenly contemplation.
  • James Hogan did not depict Joseph in this window.
  • The Christ Child bears a tri-radiant nimbus, signifying He is a member of the Trinity.
  • The lamb that has accompanied the shepherds to worship Jesus is symbolic of the Sacrificial Lamb.
